Position Summary Under the general direction of and the direct supervision of the Tasting Room Manager, the Tasting Room Associate is responsible for efficiently and effectively promoting the sale of wine and non-wine products through customer service and providing consumers with a meaningful wine tasting and experience. All efforts are focused on attaining monthly sales goals while providing gracious hospitality to consumers and trade.

Essential Functions
Greets all visitors to the Tasting Room, pours wines for tasting, discusses wine and responds to customer questions as appropriate.
Fields phone calls occasionally and answers incoming questions.
Ensures that every visitor enjoys their wine tasting experience and leaves with a very high impression of our wines, property and company.
Is knowledgeable about wines, accurately describes wines, winemaking techniques, winery history, appellations, and unique aspects of wines.
Effectively promotes and sells wine and Wine Club memberships to customers.
Handles routine purchasing transactions, including operating point of sale, reservation system, accounting of daily sales, and processing returns and discounts.
Takes the initiative for self-development in the areas of our wines, our brands, general hospitality, and for acquiring effective sales techniques.
Participates in company-sponsored wine educational and development opportunities.
Participates and assists with special hospitality events that occur at the winery.
Washes and polishes glassware for Tasting Room.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Professional appearance and demeanor
Must be at least 21-years-old
Must be able to work weekends
Have Reliable Transportation
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Proficient on the computer (familiarity with POS systems desired)
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

Animal Caretaker
Qualifications
Prior experience with livestock (preferred)
Positive Outgoing Attitude (required and necessary)
Observation skills/Able to identify animal health issues
Understanding of pasture management to prevent over-grazing
Comfortable working with farm animals and able to safely maneuver around large animals
Experience maintaining a vegetable garden (preferred)
Able to work with limited supervision and be an independent thinker
We are willing to train a candidate who has the right passion and attitude
Essential Functions
Responsible for making sure all animals on the farm are happy and healthy
Sunrise and afternoon feedings
Maintain and clean animal enclosures
Coordinate vet check-ups, ferrier visits and administer prescribed medications to animals as needed
Learn the local farm network and cultivate and maintain useful contacts in Yamhill county
Operate Bobcat and Kubota tractor
Pickup animal feed and supplies using company truck
Maintain records for each animal
Clean and box eggs
Talk to guests and answer related questions and provide tours
Liaise with vegetable garden contractor and Abbey Road Chefs for farm to table program
Maintain and weed vegetable garden
Clean and deliver vegetables
Winterize vegetable garden
Proactively research animal care & garden tips for continuous improvement of farm operations
Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to perform strenuous labor and lift up to 50lbs
